Limitations, Exceptions & Other Important Information:

  • Members filling orders at a retail pharmacy (i.e. CVS) will receive two prescription fills at the copayment amount. For third and subsequent fills, the member’s cost will be 50% of the medication cost.
  • Drugs used for treatment of infertility, impotence and smoking deterrence have plan limitations. (i.e. drugs used for the treatment of infertility are covered at 75% of cost.)

3 ways to save on prescription drug costs

  1. Use the DCAM pharmacy – It’s convenient and it can save you a lot of money.
  2. Go generic – Your costs will always be lower when you choose the generic equivalent of a brand-name drug.
  3. Get your maintenance medications at DCAM or by DCAM Mail Order to get the most savings – You can save as much as 33% via a 90-day supply of a drug at DCAM outpatient pharmacy or DCAM Mail Order compared to buying three 30-day supplies at the DCAM pharmacy.
