Maternity and New Parent Resources
Pregnancy Care
Get help from the time you start planning a family, through your pregnancy and well after your baby is born through Aetna’s Maternity Program and Pregnancy Resources.
Breastfeeding Guidance
As part of your coverage with the University of Chicago Health Plan, you have access to breastfeeding and lactation support. Certified lactation consultants at UCMC are readily available to offer expert support during your hospital stay.
UCHP also provides breastfeeding interventions to support and promote breastfeeding after delivery, including up to six visits with a lactation consultant within 12 months of delivery. Aetna’s Member Service Representatives are ready to help you schedule at home lactation services. You can contact an Aetna Member Service Representative by calling 855-824-3632 to locate an outpatient lactation consultant. They can answer any questions you have about your UCHP coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Requesting a Network Deficiency for a Lactation Consultant.
